Beautiful! It’s so true. Learning with desire, learning for knowledge, not for “scores”; no wonder why my child wants to be at One Spark Academy. Today at my work, there were two second graders who broke down in tears while in their second week of “star testing”. They were overwhelmed! One thing is to be challenged, but it’s quite another to be tortured… Thanks for shining some light at the end of the tunnel! We love you!

loved your blog Lori! When people ask me “how’s work?” or “how’s One Spark doing?” I always reply – it’s almost too good to be true – we have the perfect situation… teachers that want to teach, students that want to be there and parents that support us in every way. Thanks Lori, for creating One Spark and letting these kids have a place to shine every day.

Well said, Lori. My daughter is incredibly overworked with homework on a daily basis. The additional stress caused by the State tests just amounts to adding insult to injury.
